I am obsessed with the 70's look for this winter, circa 'American Hustle' . I have been trying to steer away from all black outfits for the up and coming cold months and this look gives me the opportunity to step out of my comfort zone and into something a little more 'out there'. To me the warm colours are perfect for Autumn and it gives me a great excuse grab the huge furry coats.

For some reason the sun has actually decided to peep through the clouds in England recently, and honestly, it's kind of ruined my whole autumnal 'sweater weather' plans. But for now, I have gravitated towards the comfy checked shirt that never seems to fail in this confusing transitional weather.

Although the weather in England this summer has been unusually lovely, I still find myself wearing jeans most of the time. So I am very glad I nabbed these lovelies in the sale so that I can still wear jeans in a more summer appropriate way. I also very rarely find myself wearing colour, so they are a perfect way to brighten up my outfit leaving me no longer having any excuses to wear all black.

Into The Blue

Honestly, I don't usually venture into New Look, it's a bit of a hit or miss shop for me. But on passing I saw the beautiful pattern of these trousers in the window, and it grabbed my attention. I have been looking for the perfect pair of pyjama style trousers for a while, and now I have found them. I am, and always have been, obsessed with blue tile prints so these are perfect! As soon as I tried them on, I did not want to take them off.

Not gonna lie, when I first wore them out, I did slightly feel like I was wearing my actual pyjamas, but I quickly got over it. I just love the effortless, casual style they have, adding a subtle pop of colour to my usual monochrome wardrobe. And trust me, these will so perfect for travelling!

This weekend my family and I took a trip to North Wales to see our extended family for my grandparents 50th Wedding Anniversary. It was a lovely weekend and on Sunday there was a small party with all the friends and family to celebrate, which for me, is basically just a chance to dress up!
